Get to Know: J of JAF

Greetings, I am J of JAF co-founder of JAF ink, protector of the Realm, Master of the Universe.

I am hermit who grew a beard and moved to a cave far away from civilization (but close enough for wifi to work). I am searching for Gandalf the White in order to learn the art of Wizardry, side adventures, and perfect fireworks. I also enjoy Science fiction/Fantasy and Horror novels and movies, especially 80's and 90's horror.

It all started at the tender age of 5 when I walked into the living room innocently, (to enjoy whatever it is that five year olds enjoy, cartoons? cartoons) only to realize there was a giant human bug on TV. Now, contrary to what you would expect a normal child to do, for example, run out screaming, I sat down and was instantly enraptured by Croneberg’s Film ‘the Fly.’

And that’s how I fell in love with Science Fiction and horror. I quickly outgrew Tales of Mother Goose and replaced them with the incomparable Goosebumps series, which later escalated into Horror novels. If you ask A and F of JAF, I am definitely guilty of having a penchant for finding crappy horror movies for a good laugh, and making them suffer through my choices.

In addition to all that, I enjoy television shows, movies, video games, you name it (I am open to your recommendations! If you have any fantastically good, or fantastically bad, favourites,don’t hesitate to send them my way).

At JAF ink, we’ve adopted the motto "we are all mad here", so do not limit your talent to one type of art, share with us. I am looking forward to seeing your works and giving it the support and care it needs. We are here to celebrate you and your creations.
