📚 WWW Wednesdays #9
What Are You Reading Wednesdays is a weekly book-blogging meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
The concept is simple, answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
You can join in to! Just leave a comment with your link at Taking On's blog and then go on an adventure to find what other people are reading.

The Library of Fates by Aditi Khorana
Okay so, once again I was seduced by the cover, the title, and the promise of diversity in a book, only to find myself literally forcing myself to read it. There’s just something about it that is not engaging my interest at all. Despite being over halfway through and usually all-for Indian mythology (there’s a distinct gap in Young Adult literature when it comes to any non-western mythology, and it really needs to be filled) but… I don’t know. I am determined to finish this book but I am literally praying something soon makes me feel. Anything. Literally anything other than dread that I have to pick it up again.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Grip of It by Jac Jemc & Nevernight by Jay Kristoff.
Honestly, is there anything that screams 'October' more than these two books? (outside of Stephen King, and a few other classics, I know, shh just go with it). On the one hand we have a couple, a desire to start fresh, and a new, surprisingly cheap house (too good to be true?) and on the other a young girl thirsting for revenge and the school for assassins that might just be able to give it to her.
I loved both these books, for different but no less valid reasons. Honestly, I loved Nevernight a little more than The Grip of It, but I do have an inclination to love fantasy, so that’s not surprising. The Grip of It is a fantastic, quick psychological thriller/haunted house story, so I do recommend it.
Check out my review of Nevernight here! And the one for The Grip of It can be found right here! (I just needed to gather my thoughts.... are they even my own thoughts? do i only remember reading the book or did i actually read it?).
What do you think you'll read next?
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
Yup, going for another Haunted House read, one that happens to be F of JAF’s Book (of the Month) Club pick, as well as the book featured in our October ‘bump in the night’ Ink Crate (order your own and receive it any a ton more spooky, fantastic goodies here). I cannot wait to start this. Might even stop reading The Library of Fates to read this (which is basically what I did when The Grip of It arrived… I am not doing a good job recommending that book am I… oh well, personal opinion and all).
And that's it for my three WWW's this week! If you've read any of the books, have heard about them, or just want to discuss bookish goodness, feel free to comment below!
