📚 WWW Wednesdays #2
What Are You Reading Wednesdays is a weekly book-blogging meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
The concept is simple, answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
You can join in to! Just leave a comment with your link at Taking On's blog and then go on an adventure to find what other people are reading.

I’m currently reading Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, a book I did not expect to capture me like a bear trap! The imagery is amazing, the style of writing captivating, and the characters interesting. You care about the characters and want them to overcome the hardships they face (don't worry, there are no spoilers here)
I have heard that the transition from sister to sister is confusing, but personally I'm not having an issue with that.
What did you recently finish reading? [if !supportLineBreakNewLine]
Bird Box by Josh Malerman.
Honestly, I'm quite unsure about how I feel about this book and it's possible that I need more time to decide what I think (the rest of the JAF team know that should mean two stars but I bumped it up to three). Throughout my reading, I kept alternating between liking and not really liking the book. Also, I did dream of the book, and had several discussions with A of JAF about how I felt like there was more for Malerman to do with the story, many questions left unanswered, and the (in my opinion) major let down when it came to the creatures (you'll see).
With that said, check out my review of the book here!
What do you think you’ll read next?
A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay. When Stephen King says a book is good, you hope that it will live up to the praises. Now, it has been a while since I read a book that legitimately scared me, and that is why I am taking Mr King's recommendation and will build my hopes up just a little bit. I am looking forward to this one.
And that's it for my three WWW's this week! If you've read any of the books, have heard about them, or just want to discuss bookish goodness, feel free to comment below!
